ChemVolt Global CEO, Mr. Kuldeep Gupta, presented his book to His Excellency, the High Commissioner of Mozambique to India, and held constructive discussions on potential investment and collaboration opportunities in Mozambique’s energy and power sector.

New Delhi/Maputo: ChemVolt Global has strengthened its engagement with Africa’s emerging energy markets following a high-level meeting between Mr. Kuldeep Gupta, CEO of ChemVolt Global, and His Excellency Mr. Armando Pedro Muiuane Júnior, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Mozambique to India. The meeting underscored the expanding strategic partnership between India and Mozambique while exploring opportunities to accelerate the country’s energy transition and infrastructure development.
During the engagement, Mr. Gupta presented his acclaimed book, A Journey From Black Gold to White Gold: Oil to Lithium, which examines the global shift from conventional hydrocarbons to clean energy, lithium, and advanced battery technologies.
The discussions focused on Mozambique’s evolving energy landscape and the growing need for resilient, sustainable power infrastructure. Both sides explored opportunities for the development of utility-scale solar power projects integrated with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), alongside the deployment of smart grid technologies to modernize electricity transmission and distribution networks, improve grid reliability, and support long-term energy security.
Mr. Gupta also shared ChemVolt Global’s strategic vision for exploring investment opportunities across Mozambique’s conventional energy, renewable power, and advanced energy storage sectors. With its abundant natural resources, expanding infrastructure, strategic location along the Indian Ocean, and commitment to sustainable economic development, Mozambique is emerging as an attractive destination for long-term investment in energy and industrial infrastructure.
The meeting also reaffirmed the longstanding friendship and growing economic partnership between India and Mozambique. Both leaders emphasized the importance of strengthening collaboration in energy, technology, infrastructure, and sustainable development to unlock new opportunities for innovation, investment, and shared prosperity.
