New Delhi/Georgetown: ChemVolt Global has reinforced its commitment to expanding its international energy footprint following a high-level bilateral talk between Mr. Kuldeep Gupta, CEO of ChemVolt Global, and His Excellency Mr. Dharamkumar Seeraj, High Commissioner of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana to India. The engagement highlighted the growing strategic relationship between India and Guyana while exploring new opportunities for collaboration across conventional and renewable energy sectors.
During the meeting, Mr. Gupta presented his acclaimed book, A Journey From Black Gold to White Gold: Oil to Lithium, which chronicles the global transition from fossil fuels to lithium, battery technologies, and clean energy systems.
The discussions focused on Guyana’s rapidly evolving energy landscape and the country’s long-term infrastructure requirements. Both sides explored opportunities to develop utility-scale solar power projects integrated with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), modernize electricity transmission and distribution networks through smart grid technologies, and accelerate the deployment of resilient, sustainable energy infrastructure.
Mr. Gupta also outlined ChemVolt Global’s strategic interest in exploring long-term investments across Guyana’s oil & gas industry, renewable energy sector, and advanced energy storage ecosystem. As one of the world’s fastest-growing economies, supported by significant offshore oil discoveries and an ambitious development agenda, Guyana is increasingly positioning itself as an attractive destination for international investment and energy infrastructure development.
The meeting also celebrated the longstanding historical, cultural, and diplomatic ties between India and Guyana. Both leaders reaffirmed the importance of deepening bilateral cooperation in energy, infrastructure, technology, and sustainable development, recognizing the significant potential to create long-term economic value for both nations.
